2024 Super Worlds — Test 2: Strength
EMOM for 7 minutes:
- 1 Snatch, Anyhow
- 1 Hang Snatch, Anyhow
- 1 Overhead Squat
Women start 50 kg, men start 85 kg; add 2.5 kg per side each minute. Athletes who complete all 7 minutes immediately get 5 minutes to find a 1-rep-max Snatch, Anyhow. Total time cap: 12 minutes.
19–20 age group: same test, women start 40 kg / men 75 kg.
In a ~230×350 cm lifting area, athletes have 1 minute to complete the complex at each weight, adding load and repeating at the next heavier weight each minute. They continue until they fail to complete the complex within the minute or finish all 7 minutes, after which qualifying athletes get a 5-minute window to find a 1-rep-max snatch.
Athletes may attempt the complex as many times as they like within each minute. Lifts finishing after the minute count as a “no complex.” Athletes must stay in their lifting area and change their own weights. The bar may not drop below the knee between the first Snatch and Hang Snatch, nor below the head between the Hang Snatch and Overhead Squat; hands may not release the bar between Snatch and Hang Snatch. Dropping the bar behind, or a knee touching the ground, is a “no complex” and the complex must be restarted. Score is the heaviest complex, or the heaviest 1-rep-max snatch if the EMOM is completed.
